Also this puts in perspective something that I often forget. These pieces are available worldwide. While this is expensive, there are definitely 99 people on this huge planet of ours that are rich enough (and big enough Thanos fans) to buy this piece. Collectors are crazy people - I mean, there are folks paying this type of money for cars, watches, wine, etc. so I'm not surprised this sold out.

The main thing I would be concerned with on this piece
is his silicone face turning dark purple like the first bust.

With spending 8K on it, I would be pissed if that happened
to it once it arrived.

I still don't understand why its so much more than the other one. you get a torso and the arm. the arm is nice. It's more than 3 times the price.

and i prefer the head on the original.

Someone brought up on another forum about the fact that
he should have the Nano Gauntlet instead of the
Infinity Gauntlet... and now I can't unsee that, lol.

I would have rather they used his full look from Infinity War
on this bust since the armored one was already done.

You would think they would have known that going into
the R&D on this size of a project...? Or did they just
say "this looks better" and let's just go with that.

Again that's distorted by the angle, it's facing upwards so magnifies the arm even more, accentuated by a smaller head due to the distance away.

Also the head and body armour makes Thanos' physique look bigger, thus the arm will naturally be perceived to be 'smaller' even when it actually isn't.

Possibly the economies of scale and law of diminishing returns. But in actuality it looks to be around three times bigger in mass and also has light up features in the fist gauntlet. The pricing makes sense to me.

i dont think film accuracy was the goal here, people want thanos in his battle armor with the infinity gauntlet. if it was a smaller statue im sure there would a nano gauntlet switch out (like the iron studios statue)
