I am talking with Billy Frazetta's daughter Dannielle as well about possibly buying a Frazetta original pencil sketch. A couple of things to consider, first, since the ones she is selling are mostly either preliminary or rough sketches they aren't signed, which of course they wouldn't be. Why would he sign just sketches and doodles? But they do come with a COA from her or Billy to confirm they are legit. Pricing is $700 to $2900 range. Anybody have any thoughts?
At first I thought it was kind of high but then I searched Heritage auctions over the past few years and even the rough sketches went in the high several hundreds and into the thousands and some relatively simple but finished sketches were like $20K and that was before he died. As far as paintings go Thors Flight went for about $60K and Bloodstone went for $60K both around 2002. Those look like bargains now. You have to register if you want to see sale prices for previous auctions but I am registered if you don't want to but want to know about a particular piece.

Well, unfortunately I can’t look at it as an investment, only as a fan, and I would love to have Frazetta sketch even without a signature as long as I like the subject, so if I was you and I had the money for it, I would buy it!

Death Dealer Repaint
I wanted to share my repaint of the original Death Dealer statue sculpted by Bowen, as usual for me it comes many years after its release, I joined this game late and I just buy them when I can get a good deal.

That is really nice work man! Like CS Moore Barbarian the early statues kind of had a minimalist approach to paint apps and I think they are generally really improved with a nice paint job.

Love your repaint on this classic, 1000% improvement on the drab prepaint it came with.

Just as examples the rough sketch of multiple figures is $2300, but the more complete old nude in the chair is only $700, so subject matter is important I guess. I spoke with Danielle this morning and told her kind of what I was hoping for and she said she would talk to her dad (Billy) and see what he had that he would be willing to part with and get back to me. I have no idea what prices they might be but I am kind of thinking I really want something from Frank in my collection and go big or go home, but if it is just too cost prohibitive I will probably still pick something already available just so I at least have something. I will of course post pics if I buy anything
