Just started this game on Friday. I did not play The Witcher 1 or 2 but read the first book and am currently reading the 2nd. So my chronology of events is a little back and forth as the books take place before the games but it is working for me. Loving the game, I hope I can finish it before I get bored though.... I have a time limit that maxes out around 80 hours for even the best games where I just don't want to play them anymore.

I just did a replay of the main game over the last two weeks. This game is simply incredible still. I'm going to replay the expansion DLC as well just because it's so well done.

I've been hearing rumors that CD Projekt Red isn't done with the Witcher just yet. There was an interview in which one of the studio heads said they have the rights still and want to go back to that universe even if Geralt's story is over. Here is to hoping for a game based on Ciri's adventures.
