Just for the record : it's not my collection
I've ordered the same glass cabinets you,Yakface, have (finally found them in France ! ). I also think Attakus pieces need more space, 'cause I don't want them to get claustrophobic

Guys you should know that for whatever reason that picture is either innacurate or those DETOLFs have been customized to fit those statues somehow. I'm not sure if IKEA makes different sizes of DETOLFs but the space between my shelves is 15 1/4" not 16" as Ish stated (I just measured mine.)
I have many of those statues and can tell you first hand some of the pieces displayed in this picture WILL NOT fit in a DETOLF without removing one of the glass shelves. Specifically the Stormtrooper and Jango Fett (even without his range finder in place.)

Yep, true.
I know what he did, though. He eleveted the shelfs a little using something in the place of the rubber holders, something thicker, thus making the space bigger. If you look carefully you can see the shelfs are a little elevated from the metal that holds the shelfs.
I did this once, but didn't trust my "connection" too much.

No problem Ish. Just wanted to make sure nobody went out and purchased a DETOLF thinking they could fit all of those in there. The picture is a bit deceiving.

Indeed, some small pieces lift the glass shelves. I tried to circle them in red, there must be 4 per shelf. Sorry about that, guys. Not tried to fool anyone.

Now that you point them out I can see them. Very interesting. I wonder if doing that would weaken the strength of the shelves. I probably wouldn't take the chance but then again you could always put stronger glass in there I suppose.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, 'cause I was dong the math after visiting Ikea's site, and it just didn't add up.
Hmmm, gotta be another glass case out there somewhere.
