Well, I got one of these for my birthday. Looks nice and is much quieter than my 3 times replaced launch unit. Here's hoping it holds up better. If I get a chance, I'll put some hours in and see how hot it gets. Hopefully the single large fan with the 45nm chip will prove to be less prone to the usual issues most of us have encountered.

Looks like some kind of 80's sci-fi monolith. They want to draw more users in with the Kinect etc, then design something that looks like its aimed at 14 year old boys.
