We all knew these episodes were going to be this way at first going into the series. A lot of us were not even alive then so no, we would not find them funny but it's not meant to be and it is meant to be corny.

Hmm.. Professional doesn't mean good.
Let's say she isn't a good screenwriter then.
And can a not very good writer do at least a good show? Maybe the answer in the third ( last chance?) episode.

The point is if you have no experience writing sitcoms--or writing anything--then it's most probable that your first attempt will not be successful.

I heard on a podcast (where the hosts received the first 3 episodes) that the 3rd episode definitely picks up the pace a little. I guess we'll see in 3 days.

Yeah I’m hoping this is all just set up and it will get better as it goes. If it continues to be poor facsimiles of old TV shows with little explanation I don’t think I’ll last with it. I wouldn’t rewatch either of the first two episodes.

I have a friend who waits until seasons are over and then watches them all in a few days so they never have to wait. I'll be curious in a few months to see how that experience is for them with Wanda Vision.

My guess is that this series will be better viewed all at once for many people and that's why Disney released the first two episodes at the same time since the second episode is the one that had the first clues of the overarching mystery. Fan reaction after watching only the first episode would have been even more negative than it is now after two.
I also believe this is why the reviews from critics are much more favorable because they've seen more of the series than we have.

I thought it was very good, and very creative. Definitely an interesting take on the story while still showing their powers and relationship.
