Well it's difficult to argue against those averages. That's more than I thought they were spending on non-blockbusters like Tammy or Heat.

Actually... I found his (Mr. Stay Puft's) reaction to the trailer to be rather subdued, which actually seemed to mirror a lot of the reactions here, including my own. Not saying the actual film won't be better than what we see in said trailer but like him, I never once laughed or even chuckled, which isn't a good sign.

I agree the trailer doesn't really show anything funny or exciting. During that part of the Stay Puft video I felt it mirrored my reaction as well. It's the blowing his brains out part that lost me and I feel it reflects a lot of the overeaction I see towards a lot of these reboot/remakes. This first trailer didn't get me excited about the film, but it certainly didn't make me feel like it was some kind of abomination. It just wasn't a great trailer.
