ARRGH! Scammers everywhere!
So, being sick of sellers on eBaY, I've been swinging alot of my business to sellers on Amazon. And, until this week, I've had great experiences.
I ordered 3 24kt gold CDs from a seller - Counting Crows, Robert Cray, and Bryan Adams - to the tune of $87. and change.
On Monday, Counting Crows came. It was not gold, it was the regular version. Beat up, scratched, and adhesive film on the jewel case. He said it was in very good+ shape and charged $17. and change for it.
On Tuesday, got Robert Cray. In about the same shape and wasn't gold. He stated it was very good and charged $27. + for it.
Now I'm waiting form Bryan Adams. $32. + AND he still hasn't taken it down from Amazon. I can't wait to see this one.
Anyway.. I over paid for a bunch of used CDs that I could otherwise buy new for $10.00 or used for .99 each.
He had 20,000 feedback and only 3% of that was negative so I didn't have much reason to think he'd screw me over.
Now I have to go through the task of sending them all back and filing a claim with Amazon to get my dough back.
When I spoke to Amazon they said they would take strickt measures against him but can't advise me of the outcome. That means they will refund my money when he gets his stuff back.
Moral of the story.. just because someone has 20,000+ feedback and a 94% rating doesn't mean they are on the up and up. Oh, and don't always buy the first, cheapest item listed in the "available from these sellers" listing.
