When my oldest son was about 3, we were rummaging through a bin on the lower shelf of a store looking at Halloween masks. I grabbed one (a very cheap rubber demon face) and put it on. He hadn't noticed, so I tapped him on the shoulder and said "What about thies one?" He took ne look at me, his eyes bugged out and he took off running, screaming at the top of his lungs. I hadn't intended to scare him, but was rolling on the floor laughing so hard I was crying...
Oddly, his mother didn't see the humor in what had happened...

My son cannot stand Santa yet....and my daughter takes his lead! Maybe this coming year...but last year, he was okay with him from a distance!
