That’s pretty cool, but the base makes up 90% of the statue.

More like about 70%, but I don't think it's a bad thing, considering the scale. And it's crucial to the piece actually "telling a story", unlike some Prime 1 pieces, where the base is ginormous just because - all the more aggravating at bigger scales.

I think that's the point of the "impact" series. Juggernaut has a huge wall he's busting through, Iceman being chased by a giant Sentinel, Thor surrounded by lightning, and Ms. Marvel in front of an explosion. They're almost like little dioramas.

Well, it’s a new approach I guess. That Spidey does have a great looking sculpted explosion effect.

I kind of expected the base to make up a large portion of the impact statues. I think they went with a smaller scale in order to be able to create these dynamic scenes, while also considering space limitations that some collectors may have. I'm excited to see the Thor and Iceman ones. Juggs was ok imo but this Spidey looks pretty cool.

looks cool but I'm assuming that's a light up feature in that base which means power cord or batteries... which I personally dislike in my statues..

Fully agree.
I’m still interested in this though.
