Shotgun Wedding with JLo was light, fun and entertaining. Romantic comedy/adventure that was just right if you want light and fun. 7/10.

The Assassin (2015) - A female assassin receives a dangerous mission to kill a political leader in eighth-century China.
A wuxia film with this title suggests a lot of action, but it's more of a quiet, contemplative drama--with some impressive cinematography. 7/10

ID4 Independence day (4k blu ray) 9/10
I don't even care about his movies flaws, of which there are plenty. This has been one of my very favourite movies for 27 years now and I still enjoy it every time I watch it. If I want to unwind and just chill for two hours, this i always my number one go to movie. It's corny, it's dumb, it's cliched and my word it isn't half fun.....
Movies like this, Fifth element and Predator/Aliens etc are just time capsules from when they made movies better, mostly practical and unapologetically enjoyable.

EO (2022) - Follows a donkey who encounters on his journeys good and bad people, experiences joy and pain, exploring a vision of modern Europe through his eyes.
Inspired by the French classic, Au hasard Balthazar (how many other movies about the life of a donkey are there?), this similar tale looks very slick and does a great job replicating the weight conveyed in the earlier film. 9/10

The Man Who Sold His Skin (2020) - His own body turned into a living work of art and promptly exhibited in a museum, Sam, a Syrian refugee, will soon realize to have sold away more than just his skin.
This was a great premise (based on a true story), but the ending was a little too convenient. 7/10
