Even if it is plastic it looks pretty cool. Probably cheaper that way. Would prefer poly stone though.

They also have an articulated Conan that looks like its based on Frazettas Barbarian which this also looks based on.

Admittedly, it's a rather unusual way to label a statue*, so I can understand some of you having your doubts - even though action figures can hardly stand like that. But I already said it's a statue, guys. ;-)

* Perhaps Mezco aren't just used to it. The fact it's called a figure, though, as well as that seam, which may or may not be final, makes me think this could very well be PVC, which is after all what they're most familiar with.
I think it’s more a question of the material and posability.
Their Thundercat mega scale figures aren’t articulated at the joints but I wouldn’t call them statues.

Either way I think this looks great and if it is PVC it wouldn’t be an automatic deal breaker for me dependent on the price.

Well, yeah, that's what I said.

It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, either. If it looks good, it looks good.

The portrait reminds me of the prize but more brutal! Looking forward to getting this. I hope Mezco puts out a good product.
Good stuff man! I did tweet at them today about it too.

Hoping for a few swap outs and yeah i hope we get something good in production too.

Looking nice. Shoulder\arm seams might need a small amount of work though.

Hm, yeah, I see my whole post with all the links, even one which didn't link to any videos, but text info from a person involved in the design of the piece, has been deleted.

I can't find it any more, but I do really seem to remember that when the new rules were announced and discussed, it was mentioned videos shot at conventions, as opposed to video reviews shot at home, would still be allowed.

So on this forum about statues it's better not to have any videos at all about a new statue which obviously nobody else owns just because the people uploading them have no relation to this board. And thus, people have to go elsewhere if they want to be fully informed about the piece being discussed.

It doesn't make any sense to me, but OK, duly noted.
