How old was Jean Grey when she was Dark Phoenix?
Anyone know the approximate age Jean Grey was when she was Dark Phoenix (i.e., uncanny X-Men #135)?

by Marvel years I would say she was around 20-21 at the time. Since she joined the X-Men in her teens.

Beast was the oldest X-Man and became furry when he was 20 in the early 70s and turned 30 when he began working on the cure for the Legacy virus in the 90s.
So if Jean is a few years younger than him then at the time of her death in 1980, she would have been in her early twenties.

Thanks!
I thought she was in her early 20s as well. However, these characters seem to show such amazing maturity as well as shoulder so much responsibility, they often come off much older.
