It met the floor because I'm a moron, and I feel pretty sick about it. But it is what it is. I love this statue, so I guess I'll just have to order another.
But if anyone is looking for a perfectly mint Martian body and base, please do let me know!!

I’d contact Tweeterhead. It never hurts to ask.

Nearmint is right. I am sure they had a few damaged ones returned and you might be able to score another cape.

No luck with replacement parts. I decided to pull the trigger on another. I will be painfully careful with it going forward.

hey Maple, was there absolutely no way that it could have been glued back together and then repainted? My LCBS will knows someone who has repaired statues. Maybe yours might know someone they can refer you too.

I tried doing some gluing on my own, which made it far worse. I used Gorilla glue, which expands significantly -- a very dumb move. I guess if I had been smarter and more patient about the approach I could have netted a better result. There is still the option that you describe (to have a repairer take it on), which I may go ahead with and, I don't know, bring up the repaired version to the cottage or something -- or just have one in the recroom and one in my office. As it is, I already ordered another because I just love the statue -- I wanted another one that looked perfect.
