I was experience horrible lag on the couple of online battles I played. Fortunately it seemed to work in my favor and I won my matches anyways.

this game is a laggy mess offline and online, not even worth the 99 cents I paid, thankfuly i didnt delete the original iphone sf cause that version runs silky smooth, this one is god awful, if its not patched im just deleting it

I've never had any problems with it offline. Make sure you turn off the figth request feature. That might help if your phone is looking for another player. My only gripe is tht it is still hard to control the touch joystick. I was hoping it would somehow be improved upon.
