They aren't the only ones selling it - Weta just must be running out of what they allotted for themselves. Or does it include orders already placed by these other retailers and they'll stop taking orders once Weta is out?

But, is that solely the numbers Weta has available if you buy from them direct? It's just not really clear if this is really "sold out" until release since other retailers are taking pre-orders. I guess it doesn't matter to me - I ordered it directly from Weta just to be on the safe side.
