I'm sure they went with plastic because of the extended arms holding shields and weapons. Hey, if he looks good he looks good.

$220 for a nice looking PVC 1/6 statue is quite good these days in the market. Would be spending more than that on a 1/7 anime statue now in days, and that's without any fancy switch outs.

Aside from Moore’s source material Barbarian sculpt, I think this piece’s closed mouth head is the best Conan head sculpt I’ve ever seen.

Mezco's video says polystone, BBTS says plastic, but the product page on Mezco's site states an 8 lbs weight. Seems heavy for a plastic piece...

Not sure what to believe, but it's mixed media and quite large for a 1/6 at 15". A fine deal regardless.

Agreed Blade.

I remember Randy Bowen saying resin was a form of plastic or something like that. Isn’t polystone a fancy name for resin??? Not sure.

Killer deal. Very happy to see this $225 price point in 2020 soon to be 2021. I’m lookin forward to seeing what the Predator static-6 is all about.

If it's solid cast in plastic it could still be heavy, i've had japanese pieces in PVC that are completely solid and they have good heft to them.

Also could be like what Koto did with a couple of their ArtFX pieces (Spiderman/Venom) where the base is polystone and the character is PVC/Plastic.

As others as said though for the sculpt, the switchouts and the size it's very well priced regardless of materials.
