So, I was done. Last summer I quit buying comic art. I even, last fall, opened my collection for sale. I sold a cover to a friend that needed it for a run, sold a pair of pencils to a wife for her husband, and a first Ottley page to a new collector. So, I didn't let THAT much go.
A few weeks ago, I received an email from a person that I had written maybe a dozen times over the past five years. One of those contacts from all my emails I'd shoot out over CAF looking for pages. Dude finally asked if I was interested in his pages. Ugh. Had to do it. Pages from your favorite issue in your favorite comic (ending or not) don't pop up that often, I'm sure y'all understand. Hahaha! Persistence paid off.
So, here are the numbers, a quick pic. These are from issue 12, penciled and inked by Ryan Ottley. Possibly the most iconic issue of the series, the big fight between Omni-Man and Invincible.
Also, these babies were packed like an absolute boss. Granted they were expensive, but, it's nice to see someone package art with such care. Boxed, Masonite, foamcore, peanuts. Boss status.
