Meaning if you place an order with Tweeterhead for a Tweeterhead product, you better really trust them, because once they have your money, it?s gone whether or not they ever fulfill their end. They (according to their own terms) could hold your money forever. Or after being years late, ship you a box of broken pieces, say they have no replacements, and then just offer you store credit on another item they could string you further along on.
Great product. Terrible company.
I ordered Man-at-Arms from Sideshow. Who are great. I asked to cancel my very late PCS pieces this week, and they happily agreed. Their cancellation email even quoted the actual FTC rule that makes Tweeterhead?s actions unlawful.

Those are terrible policies. I would have ordered from Sideshow had I known this. That?s a shame because I remember people being very happy with them when they were starting out. I had a defective portrait on my Harley Quinn maquette, and they responded very quickly and shipped a replacement right away.

From the newsletter:
"The Variant edition will be available direct-only from Tweeterhead to customers worldwide. The Standard Version will also be available at Tweeterhead for domestic customers, with Sideshow offering the Standard Version globally exclusively at Sideshow.com."

Buy through Popcultcha here locally in Australia! Far cheaper than Sideshow, and free shipping. So ends up being much cheaper than ordering internationally. So since there is no EX version, I'd say definitely get locally. I've made my preorder, also using pennies for 10% extra discount! Cant wait!

i had not heard this part, pretty nuts. i ordered through SS as reward points alone negated any discount benefit as i refuse to fully pay for something i have no idea when ill actually see. i had some straggling points to use up as well from their bday event, thanks SS! now i think i would have even without the points, those are some ballsy policies. i have ZERO intention on cancelling this as MOTU is my primary collecting focus now but thats madness once they have your money its theirs even if they cant deliver what you paid for

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

That actually was always my experience with them. But, any issues I had I caught immediately so they did have replacements available or incoming. I think I had a long wait for a replacement Harley Quinn portrait, but it eventually arrived. Had a broken buckle on Catwoman's boot and they sent me a full replacement statue without having me return the original back (my son thanks them). I actually tried (I think more than once) asking Chad for a return label, but never got it so I handed it off to my son. Also replaced a Starfire that had a small mark somewhere...
Those examples were a long time ago, though.
