The comic version has a cut out in the neck that fits the shape of the part of the body it joins, but the movie head has no such lip so doesn't sit flush. You'd think all of the castings would be exactly the same, but I havn't heard anybody else mention it....

So it was subtle huh?
Glad you're happy with it.
Pics of the "cut out" you referred to?

Oh, you discovered one of my weaknesses! Picture is on the previous page, you can see the cut out on the neck of the comic head on the left. The movie head just has a gradual taper that doesn't fit the shape of the body and leaves a noticeable gap. Found a few other small issues, a badly applied belt buckle and the odd blemish, but it's a really nice little statue over all.
A little teaser until I hear back from PCS and get my camera out properly.

My AP has arrived at last (it took £100 and 2 weeks to get it out of customs).
Overall no damage, and a nice sculpt but I'm not blown away by it like I thought I would be.
I can't see the movie head neckline issue like yours Python

Thank you, it seems it's a one off with this one. Hopefully PCS will get it sorted, I'll be happy once they have. I'm not blown away by it by any means, but I never really expected to be tbh. The likeness has never been there and it takes a lot to really wow me in this hobby now. I expected Sideshow quality and wanted it to look as close to the proto as possible and in that regard this is certainly a pass. For the price, I do think this is a lovely statue. But if Prime 1 wish to add that wow factor and make a 1/3 Urban with spot on likeness, I'm all ears... I'll give more thoughts and images on this once the head issue is resolved on mine. I am happy I have it though ultimately...

Yeah, mine doesn't sit like that at all. The comic head does, but I don't really intend to use that one much. I'll be sticking with the movie head and switching between the arm options as I really like both. Thank you.

Geez Matt - you have the worst luck with these things
Hope (again!) this gets sorted out for you.
So glad (now) that I resisted the temptation to go for this.

It is starting to seem that way. I buy mostly from Sideshow and I'm genuinely concerned that they have me on some kind of black list for always needing replacements or something at this point. Everything I receive seems to be damaged, including most replacements (P2 maquette, Big chap LSB, this etc...) I always ask for inspections now, including on this guy, but they never seem to happen.
In this case, it's obviously a casting anomaly, an easy mistake to miss if the QC guy wasn't on the ball as it's not clearly broken or anything. As long as they sort it, I'm okay with it. Don't be put off by this issue, it's actually a great statue imo. The more I look at it, the more I like it. It's not immediately a statue that blows your socks off for sure, but I think it's a grower. If you are at all a fan of the modern Dredd movie, you could do much worse than grab one of these while you still can. I'd get a comic version also if the base wasn't so boring.
