that is a pretty sweet cover....but not for that amount i would say 4k to 5k.

That's what I was hoping it would go for. I would have loved for this to be my first purchase of the year but it quickly went past my comfort zone.

The sad part about this sort of thing is that it sends kooky messages to sellers and collectors alike regarding the worth of their pieces.

That is my first thought also. Before this, I was seeing some artists price their covers at amounts that I felt they were not worth. That is a crazy price.

Wow, that is crazy. I hope the buyer REALLY loves the artwork because I don't see them getting out from under that price without taking a huge loss.

Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice cover, but this a great example of why people auction their art as you never know what can happen when more than one person really want something.
