We have HD-TV. But let the studios battle it out on the DVD's and use the US as its battle ground.

Strange that France is selling these since HD-players are almost non-existant in the EU.

Only concern is there might not be English Subtitles on this one.

The PT-47X54 model was discontinued.

I ending up buying a 31" Samsung HD-CRT for the bedroom (on clearance at Target).

Ah! I didn't realize you were talking about picking up the same TV for the bedroom.

Are you happy with that CRT, CR? I hear it's prolly the best of the lot when it comes to HD CRTs, the geometry and focus are probably the tightest on the Samsung as opposed to the Toshibas, and Insignias, such. I might have to look into getting that one. How much did Target run it for?

Don`t really want to get envolved with HD DVD until theres a clear winner between Blu-ray and HD-DVD or they bring out a player compatable with both formats.
Could be waiting some time.

Yeah... the PQ is great. I think I ended up getting it for $175.....it was on some type of final clearance.

Yes... the CRT-based stuff is great. Most people tend to ignore them altogether simply because of their size (big and bulky)

I did alot of research before I bought the Panny...and getting the Samsung was a no brainer.
