Consideration I have is I know Jason Fabok is working with Prime 1 on a DC project. Question is the timeline as first pieces from that are still likely 18-24 months away as haven't revealed them yet.

They have not stated as far as I am aware. I would guess first details may come later this year. 1/4 or 1/3 seem to be best guesses.

Like you, I'm fairly new to the hobby, though I've seen some high-end statues sit around for a long time. BBTS still has at least 10 Man of Steel Superman PFs in stock. Sideshow has been offering the Huntress PF with Free Shipping since she was listed for sale. That Huntress has a pretty face sculpt and is much cheaper than the Prime 1 New 52 WW. If she can't sell with Free Shipping, I don't see WW selling even with a smaller ES.

Is there a way to tell how many of a product they have left in stock? Just because you mention BBTS has 10 man of steel.

The drop down menu has 10. I think that's as much as they let any individual buy in one order for any product.
For products with less than 10, you get the actual inventory number.

Huntress is a B-list character at best though.
