Question Magdalena - Top Sword Help please? + THANKS BEAV!

Howdy again folks!

I've recently gotten the Magdalena Statue, and for the life of me,
I cannot get the top sword into place no matter what I try.

The hand is too low, and I'm afraid to apply any pressure on either the
hand or sword to try and line it up correctly to fit with the cross piece
behind the hand, and the peg into the socket it is supposed to fit into.

Could somebody who has one please clue me in as to what the heck I've
gotta do to get the top sword into place so I can finally display her?

My thanks to BEAV for such great help and fantastic customer service!
I appreciate you locating one of the items I wanted for my collection.

I accidently broke the tab that inserts into her leg on the sword trying to get it. Looks fine now, just can't move it.

It was a little tricky... You have to put the handle between her fingers and sort of twist it in...

Goodness, I remember that particular nightmare...
I feel your pain.

Keep at it. While it will eventually plop into place, it'll never be a perfect fit.
It's one of the flaws of the design.

Some people have suggested using a blowdryer on statues to accomodate for tough fits. That might work too.

You might have to settle for something that's "good enough".

Good luck!

Thank you all for the information. I've managed to get the top
sword in place now, although it is not all the way in the socket
on her hip, as I'm afraid of breaking a finger or the hand off.

It looks fine as is, and the top sword is just at a bit of a different
angle than the top sword. No big deal to me, in contrast to the
heartbreak I'd experience if I damaged the statue.

Thanks once again to Beav!
