Question about Heroes Reborn writers
I never read this hoo-hah the first time around, due to my dislike of the concept and the artists. Now that the FF, Iron Man, and Cap trades have been reprinted, am I really missing anything? Is there any redeeming quality to these stories? I notice that Jeph Loeb, Chuck Dixon, and even James Robinson were involved with them, and while I like their work, I'm guessing Heroes Reborn is not the best example of it...

Gotcha. I figured as much - just had to test the waters. Plus, no matter how good the writing COULD be, would it really be worth it when I have to put up with art like this?

Well, in the interest of seeing both sides of the coin, here's a favorable review on newsarama:

Wow, the comic must have been reviewed by Liefield's mother or brother.
Here is a direct quote:
"To be straight with you, dear reader, I am an unabashed Jeph Loeb fan and an unabashed Rob Liefeld fan. I don’t think he’s the best technical artist in the world, but he makes comics look fun. The over the top signature Liefeld style has just been aching to draw the embodiment of over the top 90s: Onslaught. These are the crispest lines I’ve seen from this founding father of big guns and shoulder pads, and the character faces are very distinct."
Rob LIefield makes comics looks fun??!!???

I flipped through it at the lcs and started reading it but just put it down. A cold rehash, and the original was awful, if ever there was one.
