I think they're spreading themselves thin.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Spreading thin? How can that be. They are only company right now giving us new characters never before done ( star lord, scorpion, doc ock etc ) , invested in unique lines like DC 1/6, samurai Batman series, aliens , predator , transformers . A little for every taste and they are doing it without flooding the market. They are the bar!

I have most of my 1/6 displayed. I have never displayed 1 of my 1/4. I never bought cabinets for them but bought the statues because I did not want to miss out. These premium sixth scale with multiple parts will be my preferred statuevv

Meh, with the MTO change I’ll bet they are making less than they were before.

1/6 is my new 1/4. This is a smart move and more forward thinking from XM.

Now to be fair...if XM had the ability to do 1/4 DC statues....they would have been all over that in a heartbeat. But...I am actually glad they don't as it helps me allocate monies towards TF and Alien / Predator and the much less expensive 1/6 DC characters.

I would recommend reading the recent MTO article Bryan wrote and posted on XM facebook page. It should give you a clear understanding as to status of XM. They are doing just fine.

I think they’re just looking for other options since they can’t make whatever they want in 1/5, 1/4, or 1/3.

I really only buy 1/4 or 1/3, but I totally get that for people who want a ton of characters at some point those scales just don’t work.

The only thing I ever wonder about when I see companies making a lot of stuff is if they’re extending their production capabilities too much. I personally think P1 is overall the best of the “big 3,” but sometimes I wonder if they’re making too many pieces.

Anyway, I’ll take all the choices as long as I can get them. I don’t have a lot of characters left on my radar anyway, so I imagine I’ll be more of a spectator than buyer soon.

I think this is the “typical” collectors situation.

I did read it and I never said they weren’t doing fine. I said I think they are making less $ than they were.
