Has TH been regularly sending it's statues out in double burst (layer) cardboard boxes, using corner foam pieces so that the art box floats inside?
I'd lost the loving feeling for this one some months back and would have been just fine if it took another six months to get here.
Cramped for space lately and somewhat regretting ordering it.
Seeing how compact the box was, then opening it and seeing how high quality the shipper was (not a small expense for an outfit the size of TH, and with this small an ES), and then further seeing how well utilized the space was when I finally cracked the styro case open...honestly impressed me almost as much as the actual statue.
Everyone's pics have been great, but if anything it looked even better, and more attractive, to me in hand.
I left it mostly packed as shipped for now since I won't be displaying it for a couple months yet.
The only area that could bug me at this point would be how much space, if any, is between the plant chin and Ivy's left hand.
Shoo's sample above looks ideal, but I've seen other samples with a lot of negative space there which just about kills that attitude. I figure a heat gun on the vine might be able to massage it more into place, but I'm just as likely to screw it up if I have to resort to it.
I'm hoping I won't have to.
Otherwise...there is a pretty huge "Wow!" factor with this. Especially for a 1/6 scale of a character with a smaller stature.
Concept was brilliant and execution was A+
Bravo, TH!
