It's not a rumor. He posted it himself last night on his Facebook page.

I am sorry to hear Mr Igo is leaving/has left Sideshow and wish him all the best in his future endouvours.
I have had the pleasure of being in touch with Mr Igo a couple of times and he really struck me a truly nice and friendly person and a true ambassador of the Sideshow brand.
Mr Igo was a 'goodfella' in my book if you know what I mean and I hope that wherever his path leads now, it will be something good.
Take care Mr Igo and thanks for everything!
Rainer

Kind of crushed, but I know he will move on to something greater. I think it is bound to happen to anyone working with some of these large producers. You develop your own ideas and don't want your creativity to be held back. ( Not saying that is what happened, making an assumption.)He will continue to be around, he is a big nerdo like the rest of us. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
I am a little concerned about the longevity of a certain line or two though.

He's given us some amazing pieces, but I'll be honest, it was about time they find someone new. His art direction has been stale for years. They have the best artists at sideshow and all you can see is his signature one leg up, and recycled reverse posing on most of their statues, when other companies and artists have thought outside of the box and given us dynamic, jaw dropping artistic posing.

As long as they don't get rid of the Sideshow twist.

That would be so GREAT! Hopefully no more Deathstroker PFs. Classic X-MEN, Cap, and Deathstroke PFs PLEASE!
