I don't know where it'll lead or could really give a damn about all the tie-ins & upcoming "afterward" arcs, but, that being said, the core Death of Wolverine story was a nice tight, almost old-school tale with great art & some great guest stars. Should I have saved a buck & just waited for the trade? Yeah, probably, but that's always been tough for me. This was a great Wolverine story, bottom line. He even had a nice, cool, full-circle end. Great read!

I enjoyed it as well. The ending though left it open for his eventual return. Ok he is "dead" but it's comics he can somehow survive that. The mini series was better than the last year of stories for sure.

McNiven can Draw man.. i'd buy this just for his art... I do wish the end was a bit more epic.. and had a bigger bif baddie than who it was.

There is a lot happening in the MU these days. I do not but comic books on a regular basis anymore but from the top of my head I can remember various historic moments which took place recently:
- death of the Human Torch
- death of Charles Xavier
- death of Doctor Octopus
- death of Wolverine
- Steve Rogers is no longer Captain America; the Falcon has stepped up to the plate to take over
- Thor is no longer worthy of lifting Mjolnir and the Odinson has been replaced by a female Thor
That's a lot of big changes in the MU. While I absolutely do not mind to shake things up every now and then, I also think that it should be possible to write good stories without necessarily having to kill off or replace characters?

A couple weeks ago they were reporting that X-23 will be the new Wolverine. What does "being the new Wolverine" even mean?

The ending definitely left it open ended for Logan's return.
