The chrome becomes dull when you clear coat it.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Perfect
I need to remove the masking stuff on the bare flesh and hairs and I will be ready for some panel outlining.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

The process is: black undercoat>(some people clear coat here, not sure why but I think it has to do with shine. Depending on what the black is doing shine wise, use clear coat and sheen level depends on how shiny you want your chrome)>chrome>clear coat>chrome. As long as you do not clear coat on top of your finish chrome, it will not dull. Even SWS recommends it if there's any question of damage to the final paint app. If the piece is going to sit behind glass forever then the clear coat is a waste of time.

Which brand of liq mask did you use? I'm debating trying the stuff out for a change. Seems I want what you are using since it confirms to me whatever you are using is safe for endo eyes. I was going to go with the micro stuff before I held off the trigger.

I used Microscale Micro mask, liquid masking, medium.
It's blue.

Exactly what I was going to buy. Works for me! Thanks. Maybe I'll have my 1:1 skull project done by next weekend...
