After looking at the various options out there, I decided the TH one was the closest to the "classic" Darkseid that I wanted. While I do also love the upcoming PF from SS, I don't even own a 1/4 scale comic Superman, so that was an easy pass.

Yeah, the XM is beautiful, but certainly not the classic look. And twice the cost if you can even find one still.
My only real memory of Darkseid is from some record that I got in the early 90's. I see there's a Super Powers record from 1984, but the story doesn't match what I remember. Thought there was something with a subterranean drill. Might be mixing things.

I had this one on PO but canceled due to the SS one releasing. It's a nice piece but I prefer the Sideshow one it just looks so menacing. The base has a very snyder cut knightmare feel to it too. Which is a happy coincidence.
I am not too fussed about Scale for my collection. I collect only the statues I like and from the characters, I like from DC. I am collecting the Justice League right now I am not bothered if they are different scale sizes. For the Trinity, they will be 1/4 and above but for the rest, I am happy with 1/6.
