Unless you plan to sell them, open them up.

Everything I have ever bought (statues and figures) has been with the intention to display. Now that I am effectively out of room I stopped opening up the figures.

Any display ideas for the blister packed figures other than slapping them against a wall?

If you don't plan on selling them, open them up.
Spawn figures are like little mini-statues, they look better out of the packaging.
