I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Boba Fett mail in.

Who else here got Boba Fett in the mail as a premium when they where a kid.
I did and it was my favorite action figure when I was a kid. And what was your first Star Wars action figure you received as a kid?

Mine was Greedo.

I think mine was Greedo too. Everyone got Greedo first cause he was the only one left on the rack by the time we got to the toy store!

That is true, and my second one was Hammerhead.

I got Boba Fett, too, and my brother and I mandhandled it insanely trying to get the damn rocket to come out of his pack. Of course, we never did.

My brother and I got SW people (as we called them) at the same time, and our first round of them was the Christmas of 1977. We each got one of the sets from Sears, so that Christmas we got Luke, Han, C3P0, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca, Leia, and Greedo. I think those were the 8. I remember it being weird that r2D2 didn't come with C3PO. From there, we built our collection up to include everything from the first two movies. By the time the 3rd one came out, we were too old to care anymore, sadly.

Teague, funny you said the bit about Boba's rocket. I was so pissed when I realized that it wasn't functional.

Favorite figures....I remember that I really dug the Luke Skywalker in Bespin fatigues and the Snowtrooper figure. My brother and I hi-jacked my sister's barbie rv and ripped the top off, painted it battleship gray and used it as the top to our homemade At-At. Man, my Dad was so impressed with how it turned out he didn't get mad. He made us buy my sister a new barbie van with our allowance though. That really cut into the SW purchases for awhile. What can I say, you can't have a Hoth Battle without an At-At and necessity is the mother of invention.

My Mom came home with the first set of figures one day and I was hooked.

I did the Boba mail-in and actually still have the box and paperwork he came with.

We were too. Wasn't that part of the selling point? I remember it being, but I could be recalling wrong, since I was eight or nine.
