It is a different red. The colors didnt make since to match the GOTG exactly. The Avengers movie has a more serious tone to it Then GOTG. The same colors were not working well on the Avengers, as it was giving a comic book vibe to it, So Alex adjusted the colors accordingly.

The Variant colors were chosen by Alex and I think gives more depth to his art, IMO
