James Bond: No Time To Die - 7/10. Craig is just a smidge under Connery as my favorite Bond. This last Craig go-around had plenty of quintessential Bond moments, but several plot developments didn’t work for me.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City - 3/10. It gets those three points for nicely recreating iconic moments from the video game series. Other than that, nothing there. Very disjointed movie. The casting for Chris, Claire, Leon and Jill was suspect, at best.
Free Guy - 9/10. Not a huge Ryan Reynolds fan, but this film really captivated me. Enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Enjoyed the hell out of it. The aircraft scenes were terrific.

Brian and Charles - 9/10 - A charming film based in a small Welsh village about a tinkerer and how an invention changes his life. Really sweet aspects about loneliness and connection along with some dry silliness.

Prisoners of the Ghostland (2021)
4/10
Different (..or is it?) maybe not so great.
Nicolas Cage helped lift the movie up a notch.
The concept of someone being fitted with a device is nothing new (Escape from New York did it so much better)
Prisoners of the Ghostland is not so serious, very wacky weird, and quite boring at times.

Top Gun: Maverick -- 9.5/10
Ok, going to be very honest. I really enjoyed this movie. It pulled on heart strings in a few scenes. Especially when it involved Goose ...and to some degree, when it involved Ice (Kilmer). And it even has an under-dog feel to it since it feels like the top brass still don't understand Maverick. And it feels like Maverick is still having to prove himself to others. Love that Maverick leads by showing what looks impossible is possible. They even made Maverick wiser and more polished ...even though he still this reckless and fearless pilot.
And for real ...the aircraft scenes are freakin amazing!
