Way way back in around 2007-2008 I had started getting back into collecting comics. Mostly vintage and the timing couldn’t be better as shortly there after prices started soaring and availability in and around my local shops the supply dried up. I started venturing into other areas of collecting . I picked up my first statue ( marvel milestones Namor ) $15.00 Canadian as he was damaged and from that point I wanted to create a shrine to this particular character as he was one of my favs. I bought my first 1/4 scale piece from Sideshow and it was exclusive Namor comiquette and shortly after the exclusive Iron man vs Namor diorama. Both for me at the time were a dream come true.

He’s not the most popular character in the world but it didn’t discourage me from buying almost every piece made in his image from different companies in diff scales . There weren’t many trust me which made it easy to complete. He came out in 1930s one the worlds first comic anti heroes or heroes for that matter. His name was Roman spelled backwards and was affiliated with an element as his arch rival in golden age was as well. Classic fire Vs water battles between Namor and the original Human Torch.

The comiquette for it’s time was best Namor you could get. Very dynamic post which I think still looks amazing today. The exclusive was a must with him holding his main weapon the trident of Atlantis. It really reminds me of the golden age versions of Namor with his kinda angular head features. Very unique way he was drawn in 40s this statue reminds me of that very much. My forum user name is dedicated to this mean SOB and I hope he continues on making more history in Marvel (on big screen ) and as worlds oldest comic heroe. Batman and Superman who? This is .....

Namor the Submariner

A few prized Namor books I still love.

Submariner 2 ( classic Namor vs Nazis cvr ) 1941
Submariner 39 ( origin retold very last timely issue and very scarce ) 1949
Fantastic Four 4 ( 1st SA appearance )

I can’t say enough about the quality of the next statue. Made by Marvel Milestones with an ES of 1000 I don’t think You will ever see a better Dracula statue made. He’s big and heavy yet fits in perfect with Kotobukiya or Bowen’s. The detail in his sculpt and base just blow me away. So much movement and the back half of his cape morphing into a bat is the cats ass.

It has some fragile pieces sculpted to it as it’s only two pieces but I’ve seen many of these crack and I could do without the name plate but honestly this thing is that good!

I owned the Genis-Vell Captain Marvel statue and it is fantastic. The colors are great on it and that statue really seemed to pop.
