Incredibles 2

Well, I went back 5 pages and couldn't see any threads about this movie, which I find hard to believe!!!???

Am I the only Incredibles fan on SF??? I don't think so! I'm going to see it in about an hour and a half. The first Incredibles was so amazing, and I've heard nothing but great things about the second one! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Pixar movies outside of the Cars series so I will get around eventually to seeing this.

This will be my oldest boys first trip to the movie theater. It's one of my all time favorite movies

It’s pretty good. Not as good as the original of course, but entertaining.

Spoilers.

Hated it. It was boring and should have been called Elastigirl. The whole team, Incredibles, should have been together fighting crime instead of making the Dad hate spending time being as stay at home father. Terrible writing. 14 year wait for that?!?

It needed a real villain too. Loved the original but this was almost as bad as Last Jedi. Well, not really but still a disappointment.

This was my overall feeling as well. I think I went in with expectations that were too high, based on what I had been hearing.

SPOILERS!!!:

I knew the premise going in, as that had been promoted a lot in the advertising for this movie, but I was expecting more opportunities for Bob, Violet, and Dash to shine. I felt the first Incredibles movie did an excellent job of allowing each character to have some great moments, whereas this one was more about one character getting to shine...well, maybe two.

So you wanted the same movie twice? Incredibles 2 builds upon The Incredibles. That's exactly what I wanted. I didn't need a reboot. The Incredibles is a top 5 favourite, it's never left my mind. And I feel many in the audience felt the same, given the vast majority were adults without kids present.

There is a difference between wanting a reboot and just wanting the other characters involved more in the movie...

That said it was an ok movie, I'd give it 7/10

I thought it was a great continuation of the first. Loved the action sequences! Here’s hoping we get more statues than we got 14 years ago from the original...
