Love this writer's books - from the Emperor series to the Genghis Khan series.

Cruising through George RR Martins Song of Ice and Fire series. I hear there's a TV show.

Terminator Vault arrived today, really nice book with loads of great production pics. Sideshow need to release the T1000 maquette shown in the book.
Great companion book to Alien Vault.

Beowulf, translated by Seamus Heaney
I've read several translations of this classic, and from a layman's perspective, I find it odd that Heaney's was so popular. Not that it's bad - far from it - but it's just surprising that an ancient epic poem, a source of grief for so many people in school, would hit the bestseller lists.

Just picked up "Of Dice and Men," a book about the history of D&D and gaming. Sort of uber-personal to the author (I know more about his home-campaign than I care to), but a fun read.

Hey, that sounds similar to what I just finished reading: Supergods, by Grant Morrison. It starts off as a fairly standard history of comics, up until the era where Morrison entered the field, where it becomes more of a memoir. He then spends way too much time talking about his own work, his life, and metaphysics. Pretty annoying and tiring, overall...
