I'm reading it & will probably stick with it since it's a mini, but it's not that good. Waiting for an uptick in story.

I have only read the 1st part and enjoyed it. It does have an old school feel but takes place during Mark Waid's run on the Fantastic Four (which I heard was good-anyone have any input on it?).

Yeah, I've read every issue and find it poorly done. Both story and art are lackluster. Adam's depiction of The Thing is downright awful. I'm stunned that Waid, who wrote one of the best FF runs in history, scripted this series...it's that bad, or mediocre at best.

I never read Waid’s FF-so you really liked it?

This book was phenomenal. It's structured in the old EC Tales of the Crypt kind of way, with tight stories told in very few pages. Amazing array of talent involved, including Bernie Wrightson, Alex Toth, Gil Kane, Jack Kirby, Lein Wein, Marv Wolfman, etc. My one complaint is that, as I got toward the end of this 700+ page book, the binding in the back broke off. That was a bummer for this great book. Can't wait to dig into vol 2.

My LCBS has a ton of Mark Waid’s run in their dollar bin. Maybe I will pick some up

His run also is packaged in tpbs, 3 oversized HC volumes and even in a single omnibus, I believe.
