Thnx Shoo.

Do you recall which issues in the FF that arc played out in? Also, has there ever been a mini or another book where this story was highlighted?

The Norrin Radd / Shalla-Bal story was actually told in Silver Surfer #1 (1968, Lee-Buscema). I don't know whether it was expanded upon or highlighted later, but I guess it's likely.

in the early 1980's (1982 I believe), there was a one shot of the Silver Surfer written by Stan Lee (plot by John Byrne) and art by John Byrne and Tom Palmer. It actually tells the story of what happened to Zenn-La after the Silver Surfer betrayed Galactus (this probably would have happened sometime after Silver Surfer #18 since we do see Zenn-La and Shalla Bal throughout the original Silver Surfer run). To me this story was more a sequel but there could have been some expansion to the original origin tale (it definitely is worth hunting down-great story and art). It has been quite a while since I read this though (might have to dig it out).

I want to say that was detailed in Silver Surfer vol.2 but its been so long I can't remember. I'll have to do some research.

I think this is the definitive Silver Surfer origin story, with Zenn-La and Shalla-Bal. It’s an oversized tale, longer than a typical comic book back then. It’s pretty complete.

True, the first seven issues of Silver Surfer Vol. 1 were much longer than usual.

Evil Star by Larry Stroman, probably from Darkstars #3.

The guy with the penis cannon is Codpiece, possibly from Doom Patrol v2 #70.

She-Hulk, Dragon Man, Rhino, 8-Ball and some other guy by Paul Pelletier, possibly from She-Hulk #5 or 6 from 2004.

She was working in security for Tony Stark when Matt Fraction was writing Iron Man, but seems to have vanished by the time Kieron Gillen took over. The Marvel Chronology Project gives Invincible Iron Man #527 as her last appearance.
