Old statue price check: Nimue (Chris Sanders / Anders Ehrenborg)

Hi guys / gals,

Need some help. Does anyone have any ideas of what the current market value on this piece would be? Seen one for sale anytime in the last year or so?

Nimue mermaid statue sculpted by Anders Ehrenborg, designed by Chris Sanders.

I got the blonde version but the removalists did their usual so I've ended up with several things broken including this and need to make a claim on insurance.

I've done a couple of eBay checks for completed sold listings but I've returned nothing. If not I'll just have to claim the original price but I imagine that it's probably worth more now.

Thanks

I've seen two on eBay in the last year. I want to say the first one went for around $700, but I'm not certain. The second one I can definitely say went for about $450.

Side note, she is one of my statue regrets. I passed on pre-ordering her since I didn't think she was worth the price at the time despite loving the hell out of it. Talk about a mistake. Now I definitely can't justify the price, assuming you can even find her. Makes me sad to hear she got broken because she is lovely.

Thanks mate. Which ebay site did you see it on out of interest?

I've had a look but can't see her in any completed / sold listings (maybe they don't go back far enough).

Sorry to hear you missed out. Hate that feeling. And there's obviously not many of them out there given the lack of them showing up in searches.

I followed a couple of these auctions. The one whose starting bid was $650 was for the rarer topless version. It was mint in box and ultimately sold for $200 more. The second was the regular, also mint, that went for $375. I also recall one or two with cracks/breakages that sold around the $200-250 range, but I'm not sure. I pulled these links from my email watch list notifications, but the sold listings generally aren't viewable after a few months.

Awesome, thanks so much! That will help a lot as otherwise I'd just have to claim the original cost price.

Appreciate your help guys.

I would love to track one of these down myself if anyone has any leads... I haven't seen any recent listings on eBay.
