The second one was a Twinkie add in the comics back in the late 70's or early 80's. I don't remember which, but I definitely remember seeing those adds back when I was reading comics. That was a ridiculous add. And, having Squirrel Girl defeat Thanos was as much a joke as those adds. Look how Thanos is laying with his butt up in the air. The only thing missing is his blankey and him sucking his thumb...

Huh...I could have sworn that was a Twinkie add, but it sucked anyway, that's for sure. It's a Marvel Comics and Electric Company Team-Up, which meant it blew chunks big time, even back when it came out. Did you see some of the dialogue?

Thanos says, "With the Cosmic Cube, I'll rule the world." Then Hellcat says, "Says you," and Thanos responds, "Scat, cat." Then the innocent bystanders say, "They're going to fight for the Cosmic Cube and the fate of the world," and the last guy says, "Can the cat beat that rat?"

Yeah, that was some high brow stuff, even back in the day when comics weren't taken quite as seriously as they are now.

The Spidey Super Stories title was always aimed at younger kids--The Electric Company's Easy Reader even says on the covers, "This comic book is easy to read"--so the simpler stories and dialogue are expected.

Are the intentionally making her "plainer" looking by not having her wear make-up or have her hair done? If so, I'm not a fan of that.

Also why is the suit so boxy and unflattering? She has no shape what-so-ever.
