Ryu Wins.

This is the real deal. The smell brings me back to somewhere around 4th or 5th grade when I would sculpt small things and they would go into a Kiln. It's like direct from the sculptor. This is far more high end compared to the kits I would try to paint when I was young. Most were plastic (vinyl?) and hollow. And the solid ones didn't have the feel of this Ryu kit.

But this is a high end kit that requires a high end artist. You guys are making it look easy with the videos and assembly. Perhaps I'll get into kits and painting stuff again with small cheap statues. But I'll leave this for someone else to do it properly.

I'm tempted to get Ken. But since Ryu will require a lot of work and money to get it right with paint and lights. I'm only mainly focused on Chun Li now. Perhaps Cammy if she's really really good. But Ryu is and probably always will be my main SF character. And I finally have a statue of him after playing SF2 since 1991* or so I think.


* And I do remember playing the original, first Street Fighter in arcades. The one with the punch bags similar to whack a mole.

I agree. This kit is amazing. It will require a painter w/ great skill to match this well sculpted version of our beloved Ryu.

All other SF statues up till now is simply filler & hype. PrototypeZ has the hottest rendition of Ryu & Sagat regardless of scale.

You guys are simply ahead of the curve...Great stuff fellas

That's a good thing because those who are coppin' are buying because they appreciate the sculpt. Long term once the beast is gone, it'll be in the hands of real collectors who appreciate the character. How do you think Akuma reached internet "grail" status?

Btw, quick question, guys: what do you think Ryu's hair color should be?
It varies from mahogany to black depending on the statues or the artwork. I was thinking of going with a very dark brown.

What do you suggest?
