sculpting fishnet stockings?

using chavant med, I have no idea how to approach this. My only idea was some thick fishing line but it would overlap which would be a problem.

I've seen this on a couple figures before, and had noooo idea how it was done. I could maybe see how to do the paintjob on it, but the sculpting I'm clueless. Hopefully someone answers

If its done digitally the effort is medium to produce that as you can put the texture in your brush or just apply it by sections.
There is no great way to tackle that.
You could try and roll thin enough threads and hope you can lay it on perfect on the first try. The size of the netting is going to be too thin. If you really want it sculpted you could use the fishing line to try and make slight imprints then come back later with a 00 or 000 brush.
I dont envy your dilemma.

hmm my last resort is to use actual cloth material, but I prefer it to be sculpted. I'll def try that way of using fishing line.

Make a stamp, carve the fishnetting into it then give it a partial contour of the bodypart to be covered, it's a repeating pattern so you have to have you seem lines planned out if it wraps around (like a stocking). I've done this successfully several times.

I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I feel like you could probably use wire mesh. Maybe.

After spotting someone else's method (rvbhal iirc), I found some window netting that had fine squares and superglued this on.

Worked a treat and I had plenty left for any later sculpts or if it went wrong

Cheers
