I liked his run just because it was a little lighter and it wasn’t so heavy gloom and doom and I think you just did a few different things
I actually think it was a little bit more superhero centric, which is why I feel I liked it

Lighter... It is already not enough dark for me and Zdarsky even made it lighter... lol Man...

If you want lighter Batman, there is the Wayne Family Adventures Web Toon out there, check it out.

The think is I started reading Batman in the late 70's so Batman was not always dark but it have some dark aspects to it. To me Chip's run read like Batman stories in the 80's.

I started to read Batman in 2000s with Winick run. Winick run was the first run that i followed monthly so it has a speacial place for me, but what i really consider as the true canon Batman is Batman the Animated Series all 4 seasons and the Batman Beyond Animeted Show.

I'm with you. I like my Batman stories to be heavy and dark. I've always thought Batman didn't quite fit in with the DC universe but also wouldn't completely fit in with Marvel either. That's one of the reasons why I like Bats, he's stands apart from so many other characters.

I am with you as well brother. I don't like it when they bring heroes from the rest of the DC Universe in to Batman Comics.

You can say that again. I've found that weeding out all of the unworthy books from my collection has been more fun than buying them in the first place. My wife makes fun of me for trying to get the perfect look to my display.

That is because super hero comics is for manly man. No matter how much they try to market it to girls as well.
