Given how particular Predator fans are about accuracy, I'd be very surprised if this beats the Prime 1 -- purely because of PCS' attitude.
They laughed away criticisms of the 1/2 Conan's eyebrows being too close together even though every other Arnold sculpt (the old PCS 1/3, Hot Toys, Sideshow, Chronicle, even NECA) got them right. Combine that with hair details that are much too soft for that scale and it paints the picture of a company trying to punch way above its weight class. And not because they're incapable, they just don't value those details the way other companies clearly do.
Sure, maybe the 1/2 scale will help PCS in the paint department. But that also means they need to up the ante on detail for the scale and they've literally never done this.

Same with Robo. Nearly every other sculpt has a correct visor.
They couldn't even get a RoboCop headsculpt correct, and that is miles easier than Alien or Predator. 'True believers' to think they could accomplish this.
Actually, PCS is becoming (in)famous for getting details WRONG.

I will say that Raf Grassetti, if he's indeed the sculptor, is an immensely talented artist and art director with loads of experience in AAA games and collectibles. He's also a huge Predator fan. We should be solid on that front.
It's on PCS to direct the project well (or even rely on Grassetti's sensibilities since his are likely better) and ensure a worthy factory paint app -- which is in their absolute best interest, given how widely recognized and praised Prime 1's version has been.
I just wish they would've gone for 1/4. The Predator is oversized enough that he'd be sufficiently huge even in that scale. Plus it's easier to accommodate, so they'd have more buyers.

Yes the sculptor is giving me confidence. But we will know better if PCS will release the photos of the prototype. Personally I am very happy with the 1/2 scale which was never been done before if I am correct.

Predators need as large a scale as possible. There are too many details to cram into small places to mold/cast and paint properly.
My take is ultimately the best sculptures deserve the largest scale and deserve to take up the most real estate in my home.
To me, beyond any and all due effort, each statue undertaking is tremendously subject to serendipity.
Sometimes things just work and others no matter how many revisions or how close it is never close enough. From pose to sculpt to accuracy there's just so much that can go wrong.
PCS Robocop is a perfect example. The whole thing is honestly a solid 9 statue but that visor just kills it! Makes it into a total do not want.
So I have high hopes this is not just a homerun but a knock out of the ballpark. I want PCS to succeed here and best to them and everyone involved.

There is no chance this beats the Prime 1.

Id be shocked if this PCS sculpt beats the NECA 19 inch Predators.
PCS has to find a factory that will replicate a high end finish. Good luck with that.

He better have spent HUNDREDS of hours studying and sculpting this character. The characters likeness is very difficult to nail. There are so many minute nuances to his likeness and if one segment is off, it can have a dramatic negative effect. Aside from the SS 1:1 from the mold no company has done it better that P1. I simply dont see how he can improve on those sculpts. Im curious to see his work but hes got his work cut out for him and most def an uphill battle.
