Must depend on the size of the claim with UPS. I primarily ship with UPS and therefore have had to file a few claims over the past few years and all have been paid and resolved quickly. All of these were less than $100.
The only problem I have ever had with UPS was as the buyer which I mentioned earlier. The claim was for around $600 or so and ultimately was paid but took around 6 months to get everything sorted out.
