Anyone have the Cloud on daytona statue?

Does anyone have the Cloud on hardy daytona statue from final fantasy 7 by Kotobukiya? If so, please post your opinion/s and some pics to (displayed, not commercial ones) if that's possible. If I am not mistaken its made of resin right? Is that like kotobukiya's matrix twins statue? Or what can you compare the material to? Thanks in advance!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I love this statue. A buddy of mine owns it, but I saw it long ago before I even collected statues and such, so I don't recall the material or anything. But it's an impressive piece. I keep thinking that I'll pick one up....one of these days.

I have one. I'm not home to look at it. The rest of the statues in the series are coldcast. I'm sure Cloud himself is, and I'm guessing that the bike is also. I don't have anything else from Kotobukiya to compare them to. The best thing I can compare a coldcast statue to is porcelain. It's fairly light given it's size, but obviously hollow. Now that I think about it, given it's size and detail, I think the bike had to be put together from multiple pieces. I could be wrong though. It's been a while since I've really looked at it. Heck the base is the heaviest part!

It's a very nice piece. I remember first seeing it and had to have it. At that time Palisades Marketing was importing them. They're not anymore. That was the first "high priced" statue that I ever bought. In fact, I told my wife that I won in an online contest so she wouldn't be pissed at me for buying it. And, in some incredible mixup, they sent me an Aeris statue for free also. Once I had two pieces I had to get the rest. ; ) I only wish they would finish the line. There is no Cid, Cait Sith, or Red XIII.

I can try to get some pictures sometime this week, and figure some way to post them. If you're at all on the fence about buying one, I say grab it.

Here's some pics I took of my statue. Parts of the bike look and feel like they could be made from the same material as Cloud himself, and others don't. It's obviously put together from many smaller pieces, especially the front forks and engine pieces. The empty box is tucked away up in my attic, so I can't see if there is anything on it that would tell me more about the materials.

Anyways, I hope these help you. Like I said before, if you're considering it at all, pick it up. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I was just looking around on Ebay and came across this auction. It is for the Cloud on the Hardy Daytona AND the Tifa statue. All for $170 BIN. That's a great deal, considering the Cloud and bike sold new for $250.
