Welcome to the modern age, where statue collecting is more popular than action figures.

It is probably due to people buying multiples and the fact that it is Dark Phoenix!

2500 is a lot. Adding this to my growing list of pieces I intend to buy but am in no rush to pre-order.

No doubt spurred on by high preorders, but 2500 is surprising to me. For some perspective:

EX Green Lantern - 1250
EX Aquaman - 1500

EX Batman - 2000
EX Superman - 2500

Maybe this will be the first statue where ES for EX will exceed regulars.

It is because they are all stinky male statues. No one wants those.

Yeah I was gonna post it's one of their best female sculpts plus it's a female sculpt, plus it's a popular female character.

That pretty much tells the story.

It's the character above all else, and the lack of alternatives. This is the first licensed Dark Phoenix in 1/4 scale, and it'll probably be the only one for a long time.

This statue will easily be readily available later on, near retail in the aftermarket. No rush for it at all. Gone are the days of rarity.
