Alita Battle Angel : 9/10
The last time a female protagonist was this bad ass was Hit girl in Kick Ass.
Robert Rodriguez really dialled up the action and the martial arts is seriously good.
For me though Alita is the really star of the show , I was finding it really hard to process how good her emotions were at the start, it was overwhelmingly endearing . You could not help but like her.
It's a fun movie , if you are going in expecting Blade Runner 2049 don't . This is a straight up cyborg action flick with lot of heart.
This is a great Father Daughter movie IMHO

First Man - 8/10
Ryan Gosling is great as Neil Armstrong. Nice realistic special FX throughout.

Spiderman into the Spiderverse - 7/10
Great story, with lots of charm, but the Celebrity Deathmatch animation really distracted me during action scenes that it gave me too much of a headache to keep track of the action.

Battle Angel Alita 9/10
I was really happy with the way the movie didn't deviate from the comic. Visually stunning and action packed. I will be going again for sure.

First Reformed (2017) - A minister of a small congregation in upstate New York grapples with mounting despair brought on by tragedy, worldly concerns and a tormented past.
I liked the contrasting straightforward/surreal presentation. And what a kooky ending. 8/10

Jenny Agutter's appearance if this film bumps any mid-range score up by an automatic 2 points. -
